Not sure it’s fair to categorize him by this small sample. He’s got a hopeless childhood friend who he’s being forced to look after and it’s taking away time he’d rather be spending with his girlfriend. Yes, he IS not nice to her. But we really don’t know the full story behind it. We do know that he’s not brutalizing, abusing, assaulting or raping her. And she’s now raping, tormenting and brutalizing him.
To me, the punishment is not found to fit the “crime”. Especially when the “crime” seems to be that he’s moved on an is becoming an adult and she isn’t.
