Toaru Elf O Hikitorimashite Shunmin No Hi [English, ancient English version], by SlapStickStrike
–Update: great news, a new version with PROPER ENGLISH and the story’s sequel has been released, you are more than welcome to get it here
I’m sorry, I can’t comment on the story or describe the scenario, because I would rather gouge out my two eyeballs with a rusty grapefruit spoon, rather than go through the excruciating trial of trying to read the contents of the speech bubbles in this release. You see, the scanlator went through the (impressive, no doubt) effort of using old English, with its own formulations and osbolete lettering, turning everything into an obscure garbage that would require lots of time and patience to deal with. IDK, maybe if you’re a native English speaker it’s an easier task, but for me, no way, I gave up after two pages.
I regret I’m sounding ungrateful, but that’s how I felt. The one most important criteria in my eyes: immersion, is impossible when every page would have required of me to take half a minute per speech bubbles with constant checking of the translation notes on the last page. So, the manga was wasted on me, which is a damn shame
Graphically, on the other hand, it’s all good, there’s an elf with a boy she calls her master even though they look like they’re more in a “happy couple” than “master and servant” relationship. The girl is slim, except for her huge boobs, and their sex has all the makings of vanilla loving. A bit heavy on the censorship, but looking great, still.
Krazeek and Buddha Senpai from Thot Patrol are behind this release, thanks for the effort!

You’re right that a native English speaker might have an easier time reading the dialogue. Once I realized the odd symbol ( þ ) was the old English letter “Thorn” http://mentalfloss.com/article/31904/12-letters-didnt-make-alphabet , it made things easier. Essentially, it’s the standard dialogue you see in most of these. The last three pages include a glossary that defines the more difficult words, and a mention of the choice to use “Thorn”. Moving it to the front might help, or if the translator had just inserted the meaning in the spaces between panels as some others do would have been good idea, or just a note that there’s a glossary at the end.
Funnily enough, I’m a native French speaker, but commonly use the letters Thorn and Eng when I write for private purposes… and I take the challenge of reading this, even if I can’t fap to it
Je te souhaite bien du courage
Oliver, it’s is a sequel of this one: https://exhentai.org/g/1172870/a88a776b0b/
Unfortunately, Thot Patrol also translated the prequel.
jebus am I so dumb? I saw it in the flow of releases but thought it was a repost of the present share
As someone who claims to have a decent understanding of English:
Possible, but much too painful to be worth the effort :|
What was the point of using this old kind of english…seems like a waste of energy to me.
Basically, it amused them. In a way, I suppose this is a good sign. There are so many doujinshi and so many translated works that some people are translating into forms that amuse them. Ever see any of those Bogan translations? You can read them but it’s pretty tough to enjoy them.
Ah, the bogan scanlations. Yeah, I saw those, erm, things. Absolutely impossible to catch for French me, but I felt that a native English speaker would really dig stuf like that ^^
If Bogan scanlation means what I think it does, I think it would be pretty grating to any non Aussies
I’m definitely gonna have to read the dialogue a few times more (even with the glossary) for the story to make sense, but for now I’ll conclude:

completely awesome.
isn’t thot patrol a rewrite team????
Are you sure they do rewrites? It looked like a legit, although weird, translation to me…
Sex was really good, but the dialog gave me a concussion (whatever the Olde English version of one is).
Still, it is easier to read than Shakespeare or Melville.
Well, Shakespeare IS hard… 3/4 of a century after Rabelais, he shows the English language at a similar point French was in the 1530s. As for Melville, he’s just boring squared.
Okay. Hentai in Shakespearean. I found it, to quote Jeff Dunham’s puppets, funny as hell!
